Prepaid phone?
My parents wont lemme get a phone, so ima get a prepaid phone. I need some information about it such as: How does it work? If it has unlimited texting? Unlimited minutes? What kind of phones can you get? Or any other infromation that would be useful.. thanx so much =) Oh ya, and how much would it be a month?
Alltel has the best pay as you go if you don’t use your phone a ton. You can get 2 of their unlimited features for only .75 a day. So if you text a lot and don’t really use your phone for calling the plan is great. So it ends up being $22.50 a month
Unlimited Mobile-to-Mobile
Unlimited Night & Weekend Minutes
Unlimited Favorite Number Calling
Unlimited Text Messaging
Plus, all other calls are only 10ยข a minute
3 Unlimited features for $1 a day
4 Unlimited features for $1.25 a day
Prepaid wireless?
okay i am in a financial slump so my cell phone is off the only phne i have..I need a prepaid phone for convo and possible jobs calling. Jus until I find a job. So i have narrower is down to this one cmpany called iwireless (iwirelesshome.com) and they have a plan for 30/mth where u get unlimited nits n weekends n 10 cents anytm and free incoming texts n 15 cents outgoing and the phn is 20. The other thing is i have this tmobile sim card that is working n that is in my name for personal reasons i took from some one..They phone is broke though so i was thinkin if i could buy a prepaid phone and put the SIM card in there. But would it work..its from t mobile. the other thing is i could use just another prepaid plan. What you think?
if you are going to use the tmobile sim card, you need to buy a tmobile phone, or buy an unlocked "GSM" phone…..if you buy a phone from iwireless you will have to use their sim card, the tmobile sim wont work in their phone.
Prepaid phones..?
A heated topic. I have tracfone. They have new phones that a single rate phones and never charge raoming fees. But they are more expensive than others. So I am considering changing. Looking for opinons on who has the best prepaid service and fees. I know that no all service carriers work in all areas. And please don’t try to talk me out of prepaid. It is a little more expensive but I don’t use a cell phone enough to get a contract phone.
After much more research I have found that my only choices are Tracfone, Simple Freedom (alltel) and Virgin Mobile. …… Not much to choose from, we are in a rural area.
I love my tracfone. We are getting married in June. Thanks.

Do the new unlocked phones work for the wireless cell phone company METROpcs? if so which phones work miami?
Iv heard of certain frequencies the phones require to work on certain spots do to tower outputs of frequency.. I desire to know what unlocked imported phones work in Miami FL by the METROpcs wireless phone company.. nokia has an estimate of 15 new unlocked phones… which would work with metro today?
They do not.
MetroPCS is cheap enough to make sure that ONLY their phones are usable with their service. You can’t use other phones with their service, nor can you use their phones for other services.
It doesn’t matter if it’s unlocked.
MetroPCS doesn’t have SIM cards, and you will not be able to activate your unlocked phone.
Where is a good place to get cheap cell phones?
I’m looking for a website where I could find cheap cell phones and a website I could trust I am looking for new phones but used one that work well would be good also…I am looking for AT&T phones thanks!
I would recommend ebay.com and amazon.com. Last few days I saw some deals on amazon.com for $0.01 of samsung cellphone, but you need to sign a two years contract. Here are the links for those deals:

Or you can directly do search on Amazon.com
What is the best prepaid cellular phone and service?
We only need this cell for emergencies, and we don’t want to have to buy prepaid cards or airtime service monthly.
Tracfone is your best bet…we have 2 of them.
Cell phones?
i have an old phone, the one i got when i first signed on to t-mobile. i want a new phone and apparently i can only get one if i upgrade. does anyone know of certain stores that sell cell phones? a store that has them for a lower value. i want a pink razor but i dont want it for $200…i mean all you really have to do is switch the little chip in the back and your set to go? so are there stores out there that sell cell phones for lower prices? not used though, new, or atleast in fairly new condition…thanks!
Your best bet is Ebay. I took over my fathers cell phone contract to keep him from paying early termination fees and he had lost the phone to it. I bought a decent phone to use until the contract renewed and was very happy with it. Doing a qucik search showed many just like you are looking for.
http://search.ebay.com/search/search.dll?ht=1&from=R4&satitle=t-mobile+razr&sacat=15032%26catref%3DC6
Hope that helps.
I noticed you specified new. Not many places to buy a new phone without a contract or ridiculous price. Descriptions are generally pretty decent on Ebay. Also, if you buy one you can take it in to your local T-Mobile store and they should program it to work with your number.
What is the best prepaid cell phone available for short term?
I am planning on visiting Cambridge, MA for 3 months from Japan. What’s the best prepaid cell phone for me just for 3 months in that area? I would be using my cell only for local call for less than 30 min. a month, no text, no e-mailing, no web surfing. As far as I research, Virgin Mobile is good? Or Trac Fone?? Any other prepaid phones you would suggest?
Trac Fone or Net 10 are honestly probably your best bet. You can get a good quality phone for cheap, and you usually get around 300 minutes for free.
They both use a major wireless company towers, so you souldn’t have to worry abut poor reception.
The important thing to remember is keeping up with the expiration date for your minutes. As long as you buy a new card before your minutes expire, they will roll over for the next month. I’m pretty sure that both of these companies offer a plan that will last you for 90 days.
The more minutes you buy at once, the cheaper the price for each individual minute. Do not pay more than 10 cents a minute.
Hope this helps and enjoy your stay in the US!
